Hi! This is the page about the game Masovian Adventure – point and click story about two brothers who need to.. buy potatoes. And Yes, it sounds trivial, but no.. if You play the game You will find, that The Potato Quest is not so easy and lead the boys into some cool and funny adventures!
Game was created mainly (and first) for my kids. As hm.. they wanted to be in game, they wanted to be part of the fantasy word, they (the older one) wanted to project a real game level, so I created a game for them with them 🙂
This was not only the hard work, but also fun – making the game, inventing the puzzles, recording the dialogues with own kids is really enjoyable and fun way of spending the father&sons time 🙂
This was the beginning, because it turns, that when we show the game to our friends they said: hey, it’s really cool, You should release it to the wider audience.
So we did it. We released the game hoping the whole gamer world which will play the game (ok, maybe not the whole, but few people may really play our game) would not be very critic about our Opus Vite 😉
Game developer and development
Game was created by one man army – me – the father. Masovian Adventure was made using Unity3d and Open Source and some paid graphics assets. Remember that at the beginning I wanted to make internal game for my family, so I didn’t want to spend much (apart my time) on the game assets. After all it turns, that I needed to buy graphics for the game to make it look good and consistent.
So the game took me about half of the year to make.
The game is about the two brothers – Ryś and Jaś (Ricardo and John). They have to buy potatoes on local market but this is only the beginning of their journey. They will meet some funny characters like Wizard Bandalf or the Troll ‚Maniek’.
Masovian Adventure is a point and click adventure game. You need to talk with game characters, look at some objects and solve the riddles to make adventure happened. Don’t worry however. The puzzles are not hard (although not obvious) and not irritating like in some other games (e.g. You don’t need to remember the sequence of touching the magic stones in order to open the portal to something.. no no. Nothing like that).
